Consider healthy change in job profile

2009 September 4
by Sanjay Anand

We have to admit it that the slowdown in the money market has affected the global food chain of the job market and in a way has hitted the the contract jobs very much. Project requirements have changed remarkably and this has deep impact. To understand the changed scenario i will say an experience i recently had.

As a consultant i do interface different client scenario and situations every now and then. On one such instance i was asked to accept a contract position which would require me to work extensively on client custom made dysfunctional components and to to fix them to work in a short time. The point here is the company preferred to bring consultant for the difficult to fix and very poorly documented dysfunctional components and preferred to export regular jobs to third party.

Its easy to become inspired with people achieving such feat like for instance the story John has expressed in associatedcontent.com is a good example of small time opportunity turned to a fulltime job option.
I appreciate his enthusiasm to make this transition .

Swine flu: An informed and educated precaution / prevention as appealed to me

2009 August 19
by Sanjay Anand

Swine flu appeared to become a global pandemic and cause of chaos and matter of panic and hysteria in a very short span of time. The reason even i am writing here is to do with the increased instances the different  flu like disease making road by animal to human transition and creating havoc. And the the role  of us being informed and aware of its existence and be in a position to avoid being caught with one of these bacause of the globally connected we are, these organisms ( read disease) taking the benefit of this social era, mass education, mass transit, mass organization mass gathering systems(or so the viruses these days becoming targeting easy spread routes) pose great threat if not taken seriously.

A year back the same type hysteria and chaos were reported in and around world with disease bird flu with many country including India compelled poultry products worth billions rupees if not more. This sign of bird flue never fades away as its spread keeps on and the pandemic resurfaces with some days of pause after every mass culling of animals . Means the method of infection is easy and prevention difficult if not impossible which the cure at this moment really is.  These infected products  like meat etc once consumed takes the virus to humans and thus the virus transitioning to Human. Swine flu is a level ahead as its spreading from person to person. This kind of infection  and fast spread was seen by my ancestors 90 years ago in the name of plague epedemic. And swine flu and this or the several kind of flu we just have been seeing in not new.

Swine flu, bird flu truely any of these () disease is  the constant battle of survival of species thus the clash between the ever evolving, ever changing,  selfish  protines (we know as DNA i.e gene ) of  our bodies and theirs  — their (their protines ) dominating aspiration of change and replicate and evolve to amend their nature ( of outbreak, pathogen vector and so on so forth) and survive. In absolute sense its a battle of our intelligence and organization as a human being of learning from thousands of years of progressive acumulated wealth of knowledge  to the billions of zillions of unforsean  spreads, un accounted traits and underpredictability even with this much accumulated information for this many years of our existence  to the natures trillions of form of organisms their true master code ( the dna ) and its evolvability to its existence –a tyrany indeed. I watched this wonderful BBC documentary “what Darwin didn’t knew” where the anchor professor concluded the series with the origine od species and the total unpredictability of natural selection (which is and was a fact and indeed reasons not reasoning a way to count possibilities of species or its evolbality etc) could change with some more years (read decades) of aggressive research on this area developing prestine systems to make account of that many possibility of natures preference ( in life forms). With all our advancement in science etc we still aren’t yet there in place of complete control but definately there in a position of partial influence maker in earth ecosystem.

Till then we have to be cautious and do better as a socially organized being. Use prevention methods to avoid spread and save ourselves from the danger. Not just get caught to mis-information, panic but use real sense to tackle it in a larger level. Be responsible and take the right decisions. The government and state machinery and headline savvy or mis-information prone media also propelled the hysteria. There is couple of drugs available to start immediately with a practitionars help (in person or by calling your family doctor over phone thus saving time). One such publicised drug is by Cipla –one of my friend just suggested to me is   VIRENZA  .

There is at this time a confusion and lack of knowledge in government, state administration, among medical practionars as well as people in general. So as alternative to as an alternative option to Osetalmavir drug, Cipla has launched a new drug against Swine Flu (VIRENZA). Well if its a  marketing strategy or becomes a real savior is to be known in coming days, but for now besy people like us can make it available if traveling to places reported for swine flu. Please find attached herewith the availability centers for India only:

virenza as shared with me

I would look for more information right before i plan my trip

to any of the affected cities / countries. Its not just  becoming

cautious but not becoming chickens and not act

on time LOL  (nature provided us with brains to make that decision :D ).

The moment of truth

2009 May 31
by Sanjay Anand

Its been past several months we had a economy here in California where the job market is looking like its about to get up and going but somewhere its lacking the pace. I had finished my earlier project more than 3 weeks  and yet to see any good ones around. The sector which are working well are Health care and Consumer products and the constantly under performing area is IT Services. All big Outsource giants had succumbed to its effects. EDS the HP owned outsourcing giant just had earlier put an indefinite hold one of the projects i was selected in, is somewhat abandoned i guess.

Its tough as in working as a consultant since you always stay at edge to prove again and again your expertise. This has always been my dream to be one. But this tough economyis making the wholesome experience no sweet. i realised this is it.. moment of truth . You nurture your dream and you toil to be there –once there you are like .. wait a minute  i didn’t thought of this picture. It boils down to one point . How resourceful are you.. how much pressure you can tolarate –how much adversity you can withstand in the rock bottom moments of life.

And this brings in a realization where do you(read I) stand . Because good time aren’t what we need to be prepared, its the bad times that need the be planned of. There is no good time for this realization than that perfect moment of truth (that rock bottom moment). I admit i was unprepared and totally off guard. So i just took a conscious decision –to invest largely on other avenues, buld a band of professional like me who nurture the same goal as i do (to own an enterprise and reach financial liberty) in a colabotative  symbiosis. This only can lift my finances in the next big event of crunch since cyclic are the events, crunch follows after every boom in market. So recession is a reality in a global multi dimentional economy in a yet uni-polar world money market. And i hope my investment at this moment won’t go in vein –by the time the market takes pace i have my team ready. Good luck to entrepreneurship.. cheers !!

Truth is beauty, with knowledge comes responsibility

2008 December 24
by Sanjay Anand

Its very perplexing to see such auntimely and misplaced article from Ms A Roy. The write-up can rightly be said as a web of innumerable issues without any feelings and sincerity. On first instance, there was absolutely no need to write such a lengthy article carrying information which is floating in the air and about which everyone already has their opinion and reaction in place.

She is a very prominent voice and a celebrity by her own writing and so has her share of influence among masses. I felt this question deemed, why is it so hard to comprehend the massacre that happened in Mumbai recently? If you don’t like a particular issue or if you feel diminished against the iron hands of administration, work around it… turn the masses and file a Public Interest Litigation at Supreme Court, take initiative and turn the verdict.

For enlightening citizens and educating politicians, one has to be there at first hand and help spread the doctrine, and making the standards of acceptable behavior and morale of politics in and around India – by means of media (to which you are qualified and are considered best at) or with voice (which i don’t think you or me or many people like us have taken or worked upon).

It’s always easy to write an article about such brutal incidents. But as a matter of fact, democracy – like any other system of governance – has some pitfalls too. Like in any decision or verdict, majority of people can’t be always right, which even though bolsters the voice of majority, people may not have approval of some (important) and could even contradict the law of the land.

Babri Masjidh carnage was possible because of a helpless shaky central government’s inact or delay in action, and an unforgivable greed and passion to rise in power with the cost of a country’s reputation, and its people’s lives a political party and to fulfill its agenda.

Likewise other incidents have other socio-political and sometimes shameless greed and failure of government and administration to act in time, because of its own vested interests. Why don’t you write on them.. why don’t I ever see a single line of your’s when Raj Thakrey and his gundas literally threat Mumbaikars as if some of them are due for second-class treatment.

Every country is made of people and no matter how strong, rich, industrialized or developed a country is, it is ultimately a citizen’s duty to defend his rights, and keeping the law as an active part of the system and not letting it to be mere black inks in books. We all fall prey to greediness, weakness in thoughts and determination, dishonesty and other such negative human traits. Its better to evaluate before hand as to what all responsibilities we have shouldered in favor of our country before pointing a finger on other people, community, government or circumstances.

I am literally shocked by seeing you choosing the side B of the story, which as per me is a senseless option of a dead agenda. It doesn’t seem to touch even a bit of people’s lives or their prosperity in whatsoever manner. Appears you have been too nostalgic with the events that happened in the history, and its uncertain turns and twists made by the ingredients of the then dignitaries in government, or were influential to inact a decision which has led the path to the incidents when neither A or B side could bring back the country to its formal state, nor avoid the incident or serve any cause.

There’s absolutely no point in evaluating the events that happened in an era gone by, especially when the present situation brings on more responsibilities and needs more alert citizens. Why not to condemn things which aren’t in the interest of the natives, and encourage those who bring in peace, prosperity and economic development, which and only which can bring the situation to a tolerable level. Its not beneficial in any way to blame the past for our present and future.

Conclusion :

Truth is beauty but time casts the favor to the strong. Strong doesn’t necessarily have to be with the size or wealth  but the convictions and the moral conscience and the willingness to act –shake the rust and be counted as a liberated freespirited mind in sync with reality which works as a glu to bind thousands of minds and acts as a essence of spirit, so much so the purpose becomes a force to recon with. The purpose must never loose its meaning and be always guided for the greater cause . Without a cause a patch of truth doesn’t mean much. I don’t see a greater good on blaming Government for actions that had been taken in past. I don’t see any good either taking the people of Kashmir ( and the political aspirants thereby)to  global concern of terrorism and object of multi party (read country)interest and victim of another political hochpoch.  The good is in giving light and ray of hope to the people who were taken advantage and exploited and brainwashed and to those who became victim just because of them . And to show every one that together we win, isolated we are nothing.

Why not Madonna Adopts a US child !

2008 April 14
by Sanjay Anand

Adoption is a noble cause and adopting a single of them is supposed to be somewhat personal milestone or achievement, giving something back to society gives some happiness can’t be expressed in exact words and the bond between parents and child as days grows sure blesses both of them. So adopting an orphan is no questionable thing nor something to ask motive for.

But the increased interest of Hollywood biggies to adopt children from under developed and not so developed Asian African countries across globe. Newest addition in the adoption community is Ms Madonna. No pointing finger but its a hot press and media publicity thing these days and many personalities from glamour world in their near end career choose this avenue to stay in business. It not a bad mouthing considering i appreciate the magic Madonna has created in past several years. But that doesn’t restrict me to point this simple fact. A person is lit by his own light of work and wisdom at the end of the day.

There are close to half a million kids orphan in US itself. There are children who are almost born to orphanages and children with difficult circumstance who need immediate help. I guess they don’t look attractive for different reasons to many. I feel if i could ever ask this to Madonna and all those who in their tyranny to make the globe virtually a family adopting child from different continents , countries, ” Why no you adopt a child from your own country United States”, you can do so much to society so easy.. why take this pain. I’m not aware but feel this is becoming such a norm among glamor stars, if not a competition or public relation makeover. I got similar voice heard at www.sfgate.com news blog aswell.

Charity starts from home.

somewhere i read that ( and learned that from life’s way too) but i guess in changing world this quote has transformed to

charity closes to where our interest lies in.

At least some one ( Darryl Hannah ) not following the bandwagon in this case says something into this picture.

Foreign policy sucks

2008 April 3
by Sanjay Anand

I was going through the warning issued by honourable foreign minister Mr Pranab Mukherjee to The Dalai Lama . It sucks to see even after so long oppression and hostile response in counter response in almost every bilataral issues which matters to us, our (Indian) administration never learned the importance to take firm stance and amend age old rusted policies. Today in international arena in this 21st century in the eve of globalisation a country or state truly depends on none other than itself i.e its resources.

And ever since the Tibet issue landed what a response we ( our administration ) had been sending to China and the world. It appears as if we have been solely looking towards China and its commnist government and leaving no chance to please them. I wonder how many more years we would be following the spineless and mindless foreign policy .

An opportunity missed

2007 October 16
by Sanjay Anand

The Harry Potter and team may have done the right thing according to their attempt to secure their brand name by slapping a Rs 20 Lakh sum summoning the puja comitte of BD Block at SaltLake West Bengal but they have failed miserably to actually to not only adding value to the brand Harry Potter but getting the cash register running . Sharodia Durgothsov or the Devi Puja is not just a ritual or simply a puja its rather a grand festival to Indians.. more specifically Bengalies not only on India .. but worldwide.

I feel they missed the opportunity to localise their brand . Its as simple as that. Today is the age of localising the brand there by increasing the brand reach to millions rather keeping it to a handful . I have read the Harry Potter team’s comment on the whole saga.. they commented that this type of even doesn’t fall under the terms set by them which would entail Not-for-profit events. Its at their loss that they didn’t understood the nationalise nature of the event which not only adds feel good to the minds and hearts of Indians ..bengalies world over but bestows good luck and a reason of joy and happiness so that they could start afresh for another festival season and wait for this event again for another year.

A small agreement could have saved their day .. I see it like adding couple of Harry potter stalls accross the puja and putting couple of facility where the viewers could buy / exchange the harry potter books and lot more or simply launch a different type of marketing event where by increasing the brand’s reach by merging it with puja theme.. and who knows this could have been a golden opportunity to diverge the brand to something new that was never thought of . This era is the age of divergence .. Local is global.. i still remember the wonderful marketing lines of HSBC bank .. (” world’s local bank.. ” ) . I guess Warner Bros (publisher of Harry Potter film right)  are more excited in sealing a deal in liew of money instead of localize the movie potter brand.

My good old perception

2007 July 30
by Sanjay Anand

My perception and perspective about love has not changed much. Today only before going to bed i realized that. I had once written a few lines on some of my feeling of love to my then lady love “Simran” :

Dearest Sim,

A day passes an hour, thoughts sweet and sour,
we started with a time unforgettable, thats why i was able,
to make my way through –leaving trees and flowers, green grass and pears,
going for unknown treasures, with shade and tears .

A many word to tell a many to hear,
sweet breeze passes where peace is there,
timeless i wait and wait till you come,
the hubbub of the surrounding will cause no harm

The day when you went, the day i spoke last,
Years, months days, hours went very fast.
steadily i accompanied silence, steering my heart.
dry wind, dim moon, cool breaths art–
witness of those days when me were no more i
you weren’t very near, so i spoke to sky .

Fumed clouds, scattered start, unknown milky-way,
willing handed me the secret grimly-gay ,
work, work, work till breath remain last,
time will spare no one– nor any past.

Are you a past.. an emotion merily weak,
omni-present by heart you make me seek,
would never we meet, never talk again,
cyclic is the nature– so expected is rain,
rain is where we started, when it all begun first,
unendingly going interval, wet eyes burst.

We must meet again, beating alert time,
a moments still silence, hugging by arms,
that will be our treasures — a feeling fine,
physical union nothing –soul’s union divine.
I stand for you and you too will..
soul’s Sandle stays fresh –no one could kill .

I have no much to say about my idea of love now a days .. but then it was different .

Everybody loves shortcut

2007 March 15
by Sanjay Anand

Everybody loves .. and politicians have indeed innumerable means of it. Even though they have so many ways.. sometimes indeed, they make a dumb use of it. Of course they have their own way of doing the right thing ..the wrong way or pursue personal interest . You can say it ideas de impotency . Bancryptcy of mind and logic , increasing tendency of loosing faith on participative politics and democracy.

The protest of Singur and death by resistance of Nandigram is a burning example of rising public crisis. Its a complete collapse of Government mission ( or so called non vision) and bureaucratic failure and political will to work in the favor of people in villages. Its well evident though that a village economy is so different from a city, no doubt the urban oriented city centric improved state economy has all the push for peoples in cities, ( which is less than 35% for whole India ) another instance which proves the state governments tyrant h efforts to put Industry in a 35 years industry drought and in this state. Its probably a very short cover to a decade long public-interest less policy and sight less short benefit oriented work, putting eyes off from the changes in world economy and the state benefits and interests of it.

No to say its always hard for the logic bancrypt and incompetent bureaucracy and almost broken (by years effort or in effort ) bureaucracy to put steps forward in tandem with the fast changing world of business and protect interest of the farmer people they have been blindly supporting on. They really are in need of shortcuts .. a lot of them probably, owing to the state and party sponsored people less Industries ( or money draining channels )these 35 years of power.

A barbaric passion .. or a blind date with express industrialization

2007 March 15
by Sanjay Anand

Another mass firing, use of administrative machinery and police force to pursue interest which doesn’t represent people is nothing but use brute force to stop any resistance that too of unarmed farmers and justifying this by terming them as Maoist and what not is nothing but reflecting state lord’s barbaric passion to go industrialization . So death toll doesn’t matter to state administration, bureaucrat and politicians and its shocking to see them calculating political opposition and odd tactics instead of looking at the grave situation and making necessary correction on the administrative front.

I don’t know Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharya has ever looked upon the public apologies he has made during his tenure and gave a conscience back to to avoid repeating them. Of course he has an eye to look into the bigger picture always.. doesn’t matter if people in general stays in that that picture or not. We have already seen him ruthless on his stint as a police Lord when Mr Jyoti Basu was heading the state. He heads police ministry and its evident police department is very much in his control –together they are a good team.

Pushing masses, poor and poorest with state administration and police for whatever interests couldn’t be supported by any democratic society or independent civil body. Not surprising that High Court has immediately ordered a CBI investigation into this police firing.
