East indian snack --Fish cookie Fish biscuit

My favorite snack for evening time for any small home gathering

Popular evening snack:
Fish cookie or fish biscuit are ideal for any occasion or evening party. Good to have with some kind of main course meal or with tea or cold beverage . very attractive with any kind of cocktail. This is my favorite snack for evening time as this is nice combination of healthy –best nutrition with mouth watering spice and flavor .
Preparation:
Take the fresh fish and cut it to small pieces, make diagonal slits on the pieces and then steam it for ten minutes –the time varies with the amount of fish and the size of steamer. The fish pieces should be mildly steamed. While the fish is on steam take all the ingredient in a medium sized bowl and mix it properly untill they become an equally mixed dipper –the dipper should be mildly diluted. When the steaming is done remove from heat and let it cool for few minutes. Make a walnut sized cookie by dipping the fish pieces in the dipper to have a coat .
In a wide skillet heat oil on medium and when hot put mediumly diced curry leaves for flavor and let it for 3 minutes before gently place the cookies in the skillet. Let fry for 3 -4 minutes untill golden brown and then turn upside down. Both sides must be golden brown. Do not fry for too long as the taste can become slightly bitter.

Season the cookie with your favorite seasoning or serve as is with fresh mint leave . I prefer this with home made sweet and sour cilantro sauce .
